The location and the house are fantastic. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which is great with a larger group and the interior looked even better in person than the pictures online. The staff (of Playa Beach Rentals) was also extremely helpful, especially Sergio, who even went and got us charcoal for the rooftop grill when we could not find it at the grocery store. It was great, the rooms were large and the house was very clean. The service was great, and the ocean was only a short distance away. Reviewer: Katie, University of Rhode Island This house was so amazing!! It was so spacious, clean, and beautiful...and it only took minutes to walk to the beach and to the shops of 5th Ave!! The view of the ocean from the house was exceptional and completley relaxing! I can't wait to go back and visit paradise again!! Reviewer: Robin Levy, Rhode Island I had the best time at Villa Passalacqua! Seconds away from the beach, great sun deck, beautiful decorations and great memories of Playa!!! I loved my stay at the house!! It was great and only 6 months old as of May 2004. When we first thought of going to Cancun, we wanted to take all my family and kids, who are all grown and one is married but no children yet. It was a total of 9. I had been at Cancun before and it was more like going to an American resort town. We wanted something different. We wanted to be able to stay together and enjoy each other and talk and laugh. We had been to see Playa del Carmen before to go to Cozumel, and were impressed with the town. It is small enough to get around easily, yet big enough to have restaurants, shopping and large grocery stores. We chose the Casa Passalacqua, and were not sorry we did. All the family repeatedly stated they were glad we were staying where we were. We went through Playa Beach Rentals. To tell you the truth, I was very nervous about sending such a large amount of money by personal check which was not secured in any way, but I had to trust in the previous review who stated that they had a great time. Don't worry, the house is there and they want you to come back. The key was there, and the house was great. A few things should be mentioned. The range is not really a 6 burner, but is 4 with a grill plate. It didn't matter, because 4 is plenty enough to cook on to feed 9. The air conditioner is not central as we in the U.S. know it, with one or two compressors and air coming out of ducts. They are wall mounted units in each room with a small compressor outside for each unit. This is actually better! Each bedroom gets to be the temperature that each couple wants. We had some that liked it cool and other that liked it warmer. They work very well and you can get then down way too cold if you aren't careful. The rest is right on target. The table is big enough to seat 9. The rooms are very spacious. The top room is big enough for 2 king size beds and plenty more room. That's the one to fight for. The Jacuzzi is as big as advertised and is taken care of very well. The view is wonderful and there is a table and chairs such that you can eat up there on the second floor veranda and enjoy the view of the ocean and Cozumel in the distance. Sergio, who is in charge of customer relations, was always available to handle small problems that could arise. The water pressure is just fine. The beach is very close and is a very nice one. One thing I learned was that in Mexico, all the beaches are free to walk on. You can go onto the beaches where the big resorts are, and can sit down and enjoy yourself. Can't go inside if it is restricted. There is plenty to do, and if you get bored, it is your own fault. There is a large very modern store that offers food and household stuff, much like Wall Mart, called Chemudraui I believe. It is right on the corner of Highway 307 and Jurarez. Prices are very good. I could write a lot more, but all you should know is that it is a great place in a great town. Reviewer: Lisa Omodt, St.Paul, MInnesota What a privilege it was to be one of the first guests at Casa Passalacqua. We, a group of four women, had the time of our lives. Two of us have been traveling to Playa over the years and stayed in many homes in Playacar. This was one of my favorites. We have already been discussing a booking for next year. We each had our own suite with private full bath. Each with a special twist. One of the master suite showcases an incredible rubber tree (outside of course). The beds were heavenly! The sundeck aligned itself with the tree tops -great for private tanning and a splendid view of Island of Cozumel at night. The terrace area with jacuzzi was great gathering place. Not to forget the lovely main floor living, dining and kitchen area. The home exceeded our expectations. The rental process was smooth with Playa Beach Rentals. All four of us would give it four stars. Enjoy! You could be here relaxing in your own private vacation home! Contact us today! |
